Rakali.com is dedicated to improving our knowledge of and to
assist in the protection of the Water-rat, also known as the ‘Rakali’.
Rakali occupy both fresh water and marine habitats. They can
be found in many rivers, waterways, canals, lakes, estuaries and bays that are
in good environmental health.
Our website will concentrate on several Melbourne
suburbs in the City of Port Phillip
such as Elwood and St Kilda.
We invite you to submit your own Rakali sightings to us by
selecting the "Your Sightings" button and submitting the form or use
this link http://rakali.com/21.html
If you are seeing them in other areas of Melbourne
or elsewhere in Victoria
we would like to know about your sightings.
The Rakali Watch Team is part of an environmental group called Earthcare St Kilda Inc. See links page for more information on Earthcare and its activities.
